Warraview Pretender
This cultivar was going to set the world on fire in 2023. The day before the State Show, I picked 4 or 5 of this small cactus. It was looking so promising, that I decided to put it in the open Championship in a vase of 3. That was all well and good, until the next day when 2 of the 3 had half collapsed. We had to change the entry. That’s how it got its name as pretender. The remaining one was entered into the seedling class and scored over the required 80 points, so not all was lost.
